  • Ina Garten, star of the TV cooking show Barefoot Contessa, has announced a release date for her long-anticipated memoir, which has been in the works since 2019; the untitled book will come out October 1 (The Kitchn).

  • Fans of the graphic novel series Amulet also have an announced end to their five-year wait; the last installment of Kazu Kibuishi's series comes out tomorrow (NPR).

  • The Argylle writer's real identity has become public knowledge: authors Tammy Cohen and Terry Hayes revealed that they've been writing together under the name Elle Conway (Book Riot). 

  • A sharp-eyed history teacher discovered that a book in Target's Black History Month collection misidentified three civil rights icons in the associated learning kit; Target has pulled the item from online and brick-and-mortar stores (NPR).
