The lists of adaptations and celebrity book clubs both continue to grow.
Actress Dakota Johnson announced last week that she's launching a book club, inspired by her efforts to find intellectual property for the production company she co-founded; she describes more of this motivation in an interview with Bustle.
And speaking of IP picked up by production companies, the first trailer for the adaptation of Peter Brown's The Wild Robot is out; the movie hits theaters September 20 and stars Lupita Nyong’o and Pedro Pascal.
The Twilight books, famously already made into movies, could return to the screen in a different form, reports Variety.
This time, Stephenie Meyer's novels would become an animated TV series.
And finally, Variety also calls attention to Broadway's spring 2025 season — a new production of William Shakespeare's Othello will feature Denzel Washington in the title role and Jake Gyllenhaal as Iago.
