Here's how pop culture and literature have been intersecting lately ...

  • Karin Slaughter will write all episodes of and executive produce a limited-series adaptation of her bestseller The Good Daughter for the streaming service Peacock (Deadline).

  • The Neverending Story by Michael Ende will come to the screen, again, but this time in multiple movies (Variety).

  • Elliot Page is producing a virtual reality adaptation of When Brooklyn Was Queer, the award-winning book by historian Hugh Ryan (Them).

  • A documentary expected to come out early next year will show a new perspective of Black librarians and their influence; it's titled Are You a Librarian: The Untold Story of Black Librarians (Book Riot).
