Today's award roundup is a mixture of winners and nominees.

  • The winners of the Anisfield-Wolf Book Awards, which honor books that contribute to our understanding of racism and appreciation of diversity, have been announced: Maxine Hong Kingston (lifetime achievement); Ned Blackhawk's The Rediscovery of America (nonfiction); Teju Cole's Tremor (fiction); and Monica Youn's From From (poetry).

  • Paul Yoon has won the Story Prize for his collection The Hive and the Honey (Literary Hub).

  • The Women's Prize for Nonfiction has revealed its six-book-long shortlist (The Guardian).

  • The nominees for the Barnes & Noble Children’s & Young Adult Book Awards have been released; booksellers across the US will choose a best book in the categories of picture books, young reader, and young adult, with one title also earning the overall-winner honors (Book Riot).
