  • An Illinois school district has reversed course and decided to continue participating in the Rebecca Caudill Awards; school board members had complained about books under consideration being "left-leaning" (Book Riot).

  • Hanover County, Virginia, county commissioners have made news for censoring an honor to be given to a Girl Scout whose service project focused on book bans; one of them has also gotten involved in stirring up complaints about a book read at the public library's story time (Book Riot).

  • Passages referencing Sacha Baron Cohen in actress Rebel Wilson's new memoir won't appear in the UK version; the US version of Rebel Rising is unredacted and already out (The Guardian).
