Here's how pop culture and literature have been intersecting lately ...

  • Kazuo Ishiguro‘s debut novel, A Pale View of Hills, is being adapted into a movie; its release date, at least in Japan, is summer 2025 (Deadline).

  • Actress Naomi Watts is publishing a book, but not the typical celebrity memoir — Dare I Say It: Everything I Wish I'd Known about Menopause, which includes both her personal experience and commentary from health experts, comes out January 21 (People).

  • Leah Rachel von Essen compiled a list of all the books in the TV show Friends and its best bookish moments, in her most recent rewatch of the series (Book Riot).
