  • One of only three known carbon typescripts of Antoine de Saint-Exupéry’s Le Petit Prince, with handwritten corrections from the author on it, will be the first of its kind to go on sale at the end of November (The Guardian). 

  • The Bollinger Everyman Wodehouse prize for comic fiction, which results in a pig being named after the winning book, has announced its shortlist (The Guardian).

  • Musician Bob Dylan, who received the Nobel Prize in Literature a few years ago, happened to wander into the Frankfurt Book Fair ... and tweeted about it (Literary Hub). 

  • A number of prominent writers, including Viet Thanh Nguyen, Maaza Mengiste, Laila Lalami, and Bryan Washington, have signed a petition asking that Aisha Abdel Gawad be reinstated as writer-in-residence at Wilton Library; she was removed after she expressed concerns about an event moderator's comments on the Israel-Gaza conflict (Change.org).
