So many best-of book lists came in yesterday that we're dedicating one post to them.
The Guardian, in particular, was busy, with a post for each genre: graphic novel, science and nature, romance, science fiction, crime and thriller, ideas, sports, and poetry.
The New York Times chose its ten best books of the year — a mix of fiction and nonfiction — along with the best crime and thriller novels of 2024.
Goodreads identified the most-read books in its 2024 reading challenge.
And, belatedly, we have the best gothic novels of 2024 (via Crime Reads), the best fiction and nonfiction according to Kirkus, and — if you're a subscriber — the Washington Post's best books of the year.
