  • Liz Pelletier, the CEO and co-founder of Entangled Publishing, has been named Publishers Weekly's Person of the Year (Book Riot). 

  • Reni Eddo-Lodge, author of the 2017 bestseller Why I’m No Longer Talking to White People About Race, will serve as editor-at-large of Monument Books, an imprint she launched with HarperCollins (The Guardian). 

  • New York City's Grolier Club is hosting a free exhibition of books that don't technically exist (Literary Hub). 

  • Marissa Stapley's novel Lucky is becoming a limited series on Apple TV+, and actress Anya Taylor-Joy will star in and executive-produce it (Variety). 

  • The movie version of Stephen King’s novella The Life of Chuck, which appeared in If It Bleeds, will premiere in theaters on May 30; the film stars Tom Hiddleston and Mark Hamill (Reactor).
