Congratulations to the three titles selected for the Science + Literature program!

The award is a collaboration between the National Book Foundation and the Alfred P. Sloan Foundation; the authors of three books (one fiction, one nonfiction, one poetry) each receive $10,000.

The book must have been published in English within the past three years and also deepen readers' understanding of science and technology.

The 2025 honorees are The Last Animal by Ramona Ausubel (fiction); An Immense World: How Animal Senses Reveal the Hidden Realms Around Us by Ed Yong (nonfiction); and Meltwater by Claire Wahmanholm (poetry).

Additionally, the finalists for the 2025 Audie Awards have been announced; you can see select nominees at Book Riot and a complete list at the Audio Publishers Association website.
