Here's a roundup of news on adaptations or productions of literature.

  • Eric Puchner’s novel Dream State, which is currently the most recent Oprah's Book Club pick, has been picked up for development into a TV series (The Hollywood Reporter).

  • All non-publishing rights to Larry McMurtry's Lonesome Dove series, which begins with a novel of the same name, have been acquired by an entertainment company (Variety).

  • And if you're impatient for literary adaptations, there are a number coming to TV and the big screen this month, too (Book Riot).
