Here's a roundup of news on adaptations or productions of literature.

  • Filming on the movie adaptation of Children Of Blood & Bone, the fantasy bestseller by Tomi Adeyemi, has begun; the movie stars such notable actors as Amandla Stenberg, Cynthia Erivo, Idris Elba, and Viola Davis (Screen Rant).

  • Apple TV+ has released images from its upcoming show Murderbot, based on Martha Wells's award-winning Murderbot Diaries series; Alexander Skarsgård plays the title character (Gizmodo).

  • Apple TV+ also landed the rights to High Wire, a thriller novel by Candice Fox; no further details are available on plans to make it into a TV series (Deadline).

  • The longtime producers of the James Bond franchise (based, of course, on Ian Fleming's novels) are stepping back; Amazon MGM Studios will now have creative control, with Michael G. Wilson and Barbara Broccoli as co-owners of the franchise (Variety).
