Dawn Macdonald has won the 2025 Canadian First Book Prize and its C$10,000 (about $7,200) purse for the poetry collection Northerny (Literary Hub).

Nam Le's second book, 36 Ways of Writing a Vietnamese Poem, has been chosen as the NSW Literary Awards' book of the year; this honor comes sixteen years after his debut work, the short-story collection The Boat, received the same honor (The Sydney Morning Herald).

Meet the finalists for the eleventh annual Firecracker Awards, which go to "the best independently published books of fiction, creative nonfiction, and poetry and the best literary magazines" and will be awarded June 26 (Literary Hub).
