Dawn Macdonald has won the 2025 Canadian First Book Prize and its C$10,000 (about $7,200) purse for the poetry collection Northerny (Literary Hub).

Nam Le's second book, 36 Ways of Writing a Vietnamese Poem, has been chosen as the NSW Literary Awards' book of the year; this honor comes sixteen years after his debut work, the short-story collection The Boat, received the same honor (The Sydney Morning Herald).
