Today's news of literary awards and honors is a mix of the formal and informal.

  • Congratulations to the winners of the 2025 Lambda Literary Awards, which honor outstanding LGBTQ+ writing, and to the winners of the 2025 Anthony Awards, which celebrate the best in crime fiction.

  • The finalists for the 2025 National Book Awards have been announced, along with news that George Saunders and Roxane Gay will receive lifetime achievement awards at the November 19 prize ceremony (NPR).
