Here's how pop culture and literature have been intersecting lately ...

  • The Lying Game — a YA thriller by Ruth Ware — is currently being developed into a TV series by Amazon Prime (Deadline).

  • Keira Knightley, one member of a star-studded cast for Harry Potter audiobook re-recordings, says she was "not aware" of calls to demand series author J.K. Rowling over her anti-trans advocacy (The Guardian).

  • Kevin Federline, Britney Spears's ex-husband and the father of her two children, has a memoir coming out next week; in You Thought You Knew, he expresses concern over the wisdom of releasing the singer from a conservatorship (The New York Times).

  • Filmmaker M. Night Shyamalan and novelist Nicholas Sparks discuss their joint novel/film Remain with Morning Edition's Leila Fadel; the book version is out now, and the film will come out next October (NPR).
