Here's how pop culture and literature have been intersecting lately ...

  • You can watch the trailer for the movie adaptation of Colleen Hoover's Reminders of Him, which arrives in theaters March 13 (YouTube).

  • The sequel to the movie The Devil Wears Prada, based on the novel of the same name by Lauren Weisberger (but not on the novel's sequel), will include singer Lady Gaga (Deadline).

  • "I see film and books as apples and oranges. Both are fruits, but the taste is remarkably different," Stephen King writes in a reflection on the various screen adaptations of his works (Literary Hub).

  • Jennifer Lynn Barnes’s The Inheritance Games series is being developed as a TV series; the executive producer assigned to the project has also handled such YA hit adaptations as the Twilight books and The Fault in Our Stars (Deadline).

  • AMC is bringing back The Vampire Lestat for a third season, which will focus on the second book in Anne Rice's Vampire Chronicles series and which will bring new characters to the show (Deadline).

  • Netflix is adapting Charles Burns’s award-winning comic Black Hole into a TV series (Literary Hub).
