Here's how pop culture and literature have been intersecting lately ...

  • A new show tentatively called Moriarty will put a modern spin on the rival to Arthur Conan Doyle's Sherlock Holmes (Variety).

  • Margo’s Got Money Troubles, based on the novel by Rufi Thorpe, will return for a second season on Apple TV+ (The Hollywood Reporter).

  • Amazon has ordered a TV series adaptation of Elsie Silver’s Rose Hill romance novels (The Hollywood Reporter).

  • Actor Dan Aykroyd will release Soulhider — his debut novel featuring a "regular guy caught up in a battle between warring aliens" — on October 27 (Bloody Disgusting).

  • Actor and model Jason Lewis, who played a love interest at the end of the HBO series Sex and the City, is now working on a nine-novel fantasy series from his home in Costa Rica (The Hollywood Reporter).
