• Josh Silver will serve as an executive producer for the TV adaptation of his debut adult novel, Fruit Fly, which has been out in the UK and will release in the US and Canada on August 4 (Deadline).

• In 2025 Agatha Christie's estate brought in the most revenue in its forty-year history, bringing in nearly £33 million ($43.9 million) thanks in part to the Netflix series Agatha Christie’s Seven Dials (Deadline).

• Another literary powerhouse for Netflix? Author Harlan Coben, who appears both in the streaming service's adaptations and in its original scripted TV series (Deadline).

• Amazon is working on an animated Mad Hatter movie, based on the character in Lewis Carroll’s Alice in Wonderland (Deadline).

• You can now watch the trailer for the movie adaptation of Tomi Adeyemi’s novel Children of Blood and Bone; the film comes out in theaters January 15 (Variety).

• The Game of Thrones play The Mad King received a standing ovation at its first preview performance (Variety).

• Magic: The Gathering will release a J.R.R. Tolkien-themed set of cards on August 14; the deck includes iconic characters from The Hobbit and cards in the Dwarven language (Variety).

• Actress Evan Rachel Wood, who starred in the first Practical Magic movie, thinks that the sequel coming out this fall doesn't follow the source material faithfully enough to warrant having asked her to return (The Hollywood Reporter).
