Marketing expert Penny Sansevieri’s quick guide to acquiring Amazon reviews has several great pieces of advice, but one part in particular truly stands out.

She encourages you to ask for honest, unbiased reviews — emphasis on honest and unbiased — and, most helpfully, provides you with guidance you can give to those potential reviewers.

You won’t ask them to leave a “nice” review or to edit it first, but you can suggest a length or keywords to include, or share a few prompts to ensure they provide something with enough detail to pass muster and benefit other readers.

We present this with, of course, a reminder to check out Amazon’s review guidelines, especially as they concern friends and family members.
