A mattress and sleep-product review site may not be the most scientific source of a survey, but we love its findings so much that we’ll share anyway.

Sleep Junkie surveyed 1,000 people about their bedtime reading habits, and it found that bedtime readers:

  • Were more likely to be satisfied with their sleep quality (76 percent versus 64 percent).

  • Earned more money ($39,779 annually, versus $36,094).

  • Made healthy choices more often, as they’re 12 percent more likely to eat a healthy diet, 14 percent more likely to engage in “healthy recreation,” and 8 percent more likely to book (and keep) medical appointments.

  • Have a positive outlook on life (79 percent versus 59 percent).
