We suspect many of our American readers are traveling soon for the Thanksgiving holiday.

We doubt, however, that their journeys will take them past these European hotels perfect for book lovers or into Wales, where you can literally sleep in a library.

That doesn’t mean we still can’t share for you to admire … or to plan a last-minute turkey-less trip. (Though perhaps save Dublin for a future visit, if you want to stay at the hostel planned for James Joyce's House of the Dead.)

Passing through Vermont? It's probably too late to book a room at the Governor’s House, where guests spend their weekends in Jane Austen’s world, but you could at least scope it out from the road.

You can also see how your travels around the US align with classic literary road trips rather than seek the perfect hotel, or simply enjoy top bookish sites, depending on where you are in California.

Finally, if you're near Indianapolis (and not the driver), we beg you to check out one of the Books & Brews locations for us!
