Most newsletter advice centers on how to add subscribers (or what to share with them).

On the flip side of that, though, is the question of whether, when, and how to remove addresses from your list.

Nate Hoffelder takes a hands-off approach when it comes to list maintenance.

His thought is that unless you need to stay within your email provider’s subscriber limits, you might as well trust people to unsubscribe if they truly don’t want to receive your emails, rather than trusting your provider’s assessment of whether they’re opening them.

But that said, Hoffelder still shares the pros and cons of various email list maintenance tools and strategies, in case you’d prefer to take a more active approach, in a guest post on The Book Designer.
