Apparently help finance the adaptation of a bestselling and Booker Prize longlisted novel.

Deadline reports that Michelle and Barack Obama’s Higher Ground Productions has joined the movie version of Exit West by Mohsin Hamid.

Hollywood heavyweights Joe and Anthony Russo had acquired the rights to the book back in 2017 and could get production on it going this spring.

Exit West is the story of a couple whose love affair blossoms as their homeland erupts into civil war and who choose to risk using secretive doors that whisk people away.
