We recently saw a cartoon that said, “2020: Written by Stephen King, directed by Quentin Tarantino.”
It made us laugh, though King himself told Fresh Air’s Terry Gross that his response to such comments continues to be “I’m sorry.”
The master of horror also told Gross that his years of writing terrifying tales hasn’t necessarily prepared him for this new reality any better than the rest of us; he too has cabin fever during the necessary isolation and anxiety over the possible spread.
King's next book, titled If It Bleeds, is a collection of four novellas; it comes out April 21.
