The short story “Sinkhole” will become a film produced by Issa Rae and Jordan Peele, reports Deadline.

Haven’t heard of Leyna Krow’s work? That’s okay; that’s not the most interesting part of this post.

The most interesting, at least in our opinion, is the number-crunching that Literary Hub did upon seeing the deal.

According to its calculations, the screen rights cost more than $630 per word.

Worth it? Well, you can read “Sinkhole” in MOSS magazine and make that assessment for yourself.
