Sharing information about a Welsh resort seems both fitting and completely tone-deaf right now.

It’s fitting because we’re spreading the word about the Dylan Coastal Resort on the 106th birthday of the poet it’s named after: Dylan Thomas.

Tone-deaf, because … yeah, you know.

(Literary Hub also notes that Thomas was “perpetually” broke, so naming a luxury business after him is a bit incongruous.)

The resort includes the Milk Wood House Spa (named after his radio drama Under Milk Wood) and a re-creation of the White Horse Tavern (where Thomas last, and fatally, drank heavily).

The Bristol Post has a gushing review of its experience at the Dylan Coastal Resort and in surrounding Laugharne, Wales, while Lit Hub has a more sarcastic take on it.

Thomas, whose most celebrated poems include “Poem in October,” “The Hunchback in the Park,” and “Fern Hill,” is considered to be one of the greatest Welsh poets of all time.
