There are a number of reasons — regularly planned as well as unforeseen — that right now is comfort food season.

But no matter why, rest assured that Ina Garten is ready for you.

Garten — also known as TV’s Barefoot Contessa — knew that Modern Comfort Food would come out right before the election, though she didn’t (of course) expect there to also be a pandemic.

Nevertheless, she told NPR, she’s grateful that she has something so mentally healthy, if not necessarily physically healthy, to offer the world during these times.
