Ta-Nehisi Coates is a writer of many mediums: journalism, nonfiction, fiction, comics, and now screenplays.

Deadline has confirmed that Coates, best known for Between the World and Me and The Water Dancer, is writing a Superman movie reboot.

No plot details have leaked yet; J.J. Abrams’s company is for sure producing, and actor Henry Cavill is said to be eager to reprise his role as the Man of Steel.

In addition to the aforementioned books, Coates has written a Black Panther and a Captain America series for Marvel Comics.
