The 2021 theme for International Women’s Day is Choose to Challenge.

So it seemed more than fitting that the Guardian shared an update from a woman who, well, challenged herself to read a book by a female author from every single country.

Sophie Baggott began her journey in June 2018, and while she marked off her final country last December, it’s far from completed.

She writes in the Guardian that she’s eager to return to Argentina’s female authors, who put out so many tempting books that she lingered in its catalogue for a while.
