Another N.K. Jemisin trilogy is headed to the screen.
Deadline reports that the Inheritance trilogy has been optioned for TV, with Will Smith and Jada Pinkett Smith’s Westbrook Studios set to produce.
The search is on for a writer, a director, and acting talent.
And in pointing us to the news about the Inheritance trilogy show, Literary Hub reminded us all that the first book in Jemisin’s Broken Earth trilogy — The Fifth Season — is being adapted for television by TNT.
That book launched Jemisin into the record books as the first Black author to win the Hugo Award for Best Novel and the first author, period, to win the Hugo Award for Best Novel three consecutive times.
