We’ve been hearing for the past year that some pandemic adaptations will be here to stay.

Only time will tell if that’s correct in the long run, but it seems fair to say that online events will stay popular in the short term.

So the Alliance of Independent Authors turned to Cody Sisco, who’s both a writer and a literary community organizer, for a complete guide to online author events.

Sisco’s presentation — given for an online conference, no less — covers why an author might want to organize an event as well as practical strategies for doing so.

You can watch a video of his presentation, listen to just audio, or read a transcript of it on the ALLi blog.
