It’s (re)opening day for the Harry S. Truman Presidential Library & Museum!

A major renovation — the first in nearly twenty years — closed the facility in Independence, Missouri, in July 2019, but as of today, visitors are again welcome.

The Kansas City Star reports that both the content of the museum and its physical shape have been drastically changed.

Visitors will notice that, among the touchscreen displays and interactive exhibits, the controversy over some of Truman’s significant decisions — such as to bomb Japan and to enter the Korean War — is addressed in full (as are the consequences of said decisions).

Head to the KC Star for more on what to expect from the renovated Harry S. Truman Presidential Library & Museum.
