Develop your characters by interviewing them

In Dave Chesson's opinion, the best way to get to know a character is to interview him or her.

If you’re skeptical, he opens his post on character interviews with a defense of his position.

And from there, Chesson explains that while he’s offered up over two hundred possible questions to ask your characters, you don’t have to — make that shouldn’t — ask them all.
