Authors are frequently advised to step away from their manuscripts at some point, whether it’s during a period of burnout/writer’s block or while an editor/beta reader is taking the reins.

Some, though, struggle to make a complete break with the book they’ve been working on for so long and so hard.

Author Barbara Linn Probst understands this discomfort and suggests using the interim time to work with your novel instead of on it.
