Buy a copy of "The Prophet" that Elvis Presley gave as a gift

A copy of The Prophet once owned by Elvis Presley could be yours … for $27,000.

Literary Hub reports that "the King" loved Kahlil Gibran’s prose poem collection so much that he marked up copies and gave them to his friends.

This particular version was given to Ed Parker, the founder of American Kenpo Karate who became the singer’s close friend and, for a time, bodyguard.

It's up for sale through rare-book dealer Peter Harrington, but if a Presley-annotated copy of The Prophet isn't in your shopping budget, you can at least see images of the annotations at Lit Hub.
