Happy publication eve to Anthony Doerr, whose Cloud Cuckoo Land comes out tomorrow.

It’s his first novel since 2014’s All The Light We Cannot See, which won the Pulitzer Prize and the Andrew Carnegie Medal for Excellence the following year.

Cloud Cuckoo Land crosses huge expanses of time and distance — from medieval Constantinople to present-day Idaho to a future interstellar ship — and connects its characters with one ancient myth.

Doerr shared his inspiration for Cloud Cuckoo Land, among other thoughts, in recent interviews with the Guardian (which also shared a brief review of the work) and NPR.
