Jennifer Williams’s mother was a librarian, and she went on to be an elementary school teacher and tutor.

So unsurprisingly, Williams has always had a passion for books.

She’s shown that over the years by organizing book donation drives to help close the literacy gap in young readers from different backgrounds.

Her first effort, in 2017, resulted in nine hundred books being distributed.

But, says Reader’s Digest, that wasn’t enough for Williams, who decided to set a new goal: give away one million books.
