Ready for another poll on American reading habits?
This one, we promise, is more cheerful than the last one we shared.
Pew Research Center found that 75 percent of US adults have read at least part of a book, in any format, in the past twelve months.
That figure has mostly stayed the same since 2011 — which we expect to be the best-received news from the survey.
The rest of the findings will resonate differently depending on your format loyalties.
Readers who've embraced the digital revolution will be glad to hear that 30 percent of respondents said they've read an ebook.
That's up from 25 percent two years ago.
Print use stayed steady in that time frame, at 65 percent.
Audiobook listens rose slightly, from 20 percent to 23 percent.
