Late last week, authors of books with LGBTQ+ themes began making an unpleasant discovery.

Their books were no longer available for sale on Target's website.

Publishers Weekly reports that the authors took to Twitter to raise awareness among writers of the genre — and push for their reinstatement.

The retailer told PW and other news outlets that the removal appeared to be done "in error" during a recent website upgrade.

Author Miel Moreland began compiling a list of MIA books; she said that by Monday morning, 94 of the 118 books appeared to have been relisted.
