Hasn't 2022 only just begun?
TIME magazine has released its list of the 100 most influential people for this year, whereas the past few years, it came out in September.
Maybe the haste explains why there's only one novelist on the list: Sally Rooney, author of Normal People, Conversations with Friends, and Beautiful World, Where Are You.
Lena Dunham, who herself has dabbled in some literary activities, wrote up the blurb explaining why Rooney made the 100 most influential list.
Rooney is at least joined by two other writers: Michelle Zauner, author of Crying in H Mart (a memoir), and Elizabeth Alexander, a poet and nonfiction author who wrote The Trayvon Generation.
