Joanna Penn hosted Tammi Labrecque, who writes in several fiction genres but also has two nonfiction works out on how to be a "newsletter ninja," on her latest episode of The Creative Penn.

We recommend eating first before reading the transcript of or listening to the conversation, because there's much discussion of cookies (Labrecque's preferred way to refer to reader magnets) — what they are, how to offer them, what features they must have.

But as noted in the title of this post, they finish up with a conversation about unsubscribes.

Specifically, Penn and Labrecque say it's perfectly okay to have unsubscribes and, in fact, encourage authors to make unsubscribing easy.

Head to The Creative Penn to learn why that is, in their author newsletter deep-dive.
