Eight books are placed in the Future Library

You can't check out any materials from it yet, but the Future Library has opened to the public.

Scottish artist Katie Paterson's brainchild is located on the top floor of Oslo's Deichman Library.

And within that room are eight manuscripts, each in its own glass drawer, that won't be read for another ninety-two years.

The Guardian reports that four of the books' authors — David Mitchell, Sjón, Tsitsi Dangarembga, and Karl Ove Knausgård — personally placed their works in said drawers over the weekend.
