The children's book Lyle, Lyle, Crocodile is coming to the screen this fall, so you know what that means — trailer (and teaser trailer) time!

The movie, a mix of live action and CGI, stars Shawn Mendes, Javier Bardem, and Constance Wu.

It hits theaters October 22, so check out the trailer below to decide whether you need to save the date.

And on the topic of kid lit, we have two cartoons that might amuse you more than the trailer ...

One of them, from the Guardian, provides a children's-book-series generator.

The other, from the New York Times, imagines classic literature as baby books.
