You have to tip your cap to Bob Jablonski.
He either checked out a book from the Jersey City Public Library — or someone stuffed it in his backpack.
Why can't he remember? It was seventy-seven years ago.
But up until the other day, he still had it in his possession.
Now, finally, he has returned a pre-World War II book called Hitler to the library, clearing his conscience about the incident.
We'd also say he's clearing his ledger, but the library has abolished late fees, so he's off the hook.
Learn more about Jablonski and his nearly eight-decades-overdue library book from CBS News.
