Author Alan Moore talks about his switch from comics to prose

Alan Moore may have made his name (and his fame) from illustrated stories, including Watchmen, V for Vendetta, The League of Extraordinary Gentlemen, and From Hell.

But, he tells the Guardian, he's long been a lover of prose, as evidenced by his new collection, Illuminations, which hit shelves today.

The stories in it span forty years and evoke the styles and talents of the writers he "tore through" as a child, says the Guardian.

And you can expect that, if Moore continues creating, he'll stick more to this style.
