You'd think that we'd all expect the unexpected nowadays, but as Kristine Kathryn Rusch looks back on 2022, she admits that wasn't the case.

Even though she knew in early 2020 that "normal" as we knew it wouldn't be returning, she still was surprised at the speed of some changes — as well as the mere fact of others.
