When the Europa Clipper spacecraft heads out to Jupiter's second moon, it will bear something very special: a poem written specifically for the occasion.

US Poet Laureate Ada Limón is responsible for that, and in a tweet, she described it as the "most intimidating and inspiring prompt" she's ever received.

The launch is planned for October 2024, and Limón's work will be engraved on the craft.

No word, in the tweets about it, on how and when Earthlings will get to read the work.

But, if you want to hear more from her, Limón did an interview with Elle magazine focusing on the role of poetry in such a tumultuous world and what she hopes to achieve as poet laureate.
