Content creators have a lot of strong feelings about generative AI's use and methods.

And that extends to amateurs as well as professionals.

A Reddit user discovered recently that online fanfiction is among the "sources" that have helped train AI tools.

How can you prove it? Well, the world-building for one particular fandom, known as the Omegaverse, includes details about mating and sexual practices that don't exist anywhere else (whether in the real world or other fanfiction arenas).

But when this particular Reddit user entered a prompt from the Omegaverse into the writing tool Sudowrite (which uses OpenAI’s GPT-3 to operate), it answered in perfect keeping with the Omegaverse's rules.
