Tonight’s a big night for Elena Ferrante fans, regardless of how they feel about HBO adapting My Brilliant Friend.

If you’re among them and can’t wait to watch it, the Guardian has an in-depth story about what it’s like to be in Naples and on set for the show.

The first two episodes were received warmly at a screening in September; you can make the call for yourself when it premieres to the public tonight at 9 Eastern time.
