If you prefer experiences over possessions — or have an appreciation for both — the literary world has a new offering for you.

Back in April, Hunter S. Thompson’s widow began renting out the writer’s cabin on their property in Woody Creek, Colorado, as a way to continue supporting a scholarship for veterans — no accusations of prurience or profiteering needed.

Journalist Kevin EG Perry booked a stay at Owl Farm and wrote about his experiences there — on a typewriter that Thompson himself used — which you can read in the Guardian.
